Sonja Hidas

 

Sonja Hidas was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She began her art studies at an early age working with oils then moving on to watercolours. She was graduated in 1988 from Illustration and Design, a commercial art program at Dawson College in Montreal. Sonja worked for over a decade as a sports designer and art director, coordinating advertising and designing catalogues, product development and sportswear for organizations such as the NHL, AHL, NFL, MLB, CFL, NCAA, Harley-Davidson, Disney, etc.

Sonja is a member of Visual Arts Ontario, the Mississauga Arts Council and Visual Arts Mississauga. Presently she is working on paintings to be entered in several Canadian juried competitions. Sonja lives in Mississauga and is actively creating new works of art at her studio.
