Lucille Weber

Lucille was eight years old when she found her Great Aunt Irene's paints in the attic. She used a screwdriver to poke holes in the tubes, as the lids would not budge from years of waiting; the sight of the pigments released from their metal tombs delighted and amazed her.

Lucille grew up in rural Bruce County surrounded by the beauty of the countryside, always observing and absorbing the colours, textures and forms. This inspiring landscape led her to take courses in fashion and interior design followed by her desire to create on canvas, a natural progression for this artist. Lucille works intuitively allowing images to appear as she builds up layers of paint, scratches back and wipes off to create texture using a varied array of materials and tools.
