Jeremy Bortz was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1965. After majoring in art he pursued a career in painting, photography and framing. He owned numerous galleries and photographic stores. He became well known in South Africa for his creative framing solutions, appearing on talk shows regularly, writing an advice column for a monthly magazine, and hosting framing classes.
While residing in the town of Rustenburg, Jeremy's active involvement in framing led him to participate in the development of the Rustenburg water colour society where he hosted numerous solo and group exhibitions. His works gained popular acclaim and he was often commissioned to paint for individuals and corporations.
Jeremy has a flair for using bright colours. His love for vibrant expression is evident in his oversize abstract acrylic on canvas paintings. His passion for colour is an extension of his happy disposition and colourful disposition and bright personality. He now resides in Toronto where as the owner of Frame Concepts, he continues to utilize his array of talents
