Eugenio Cohaila

Eugenio Cohaila has, through his numerous exibitions and honours, developed quite a name for himself at a relatively young age. A recent graduate of the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes masters program in Tacna, Peru, Eugenio is being touted as a refreshing new face to the North American art scene. A self confessed admirer of color, Eugenio loves to bring his canvas to life with awe inspiring showers of colorful light.

Constantly looking for new and exciting subjects, Cohaila’s search for the “Bright Lights” has lead him to paint, with an amazing use of depth, what could easily be touted as the center of life and light itself, New York City. Eugenio is amazed as well as intrigued by the constant action of the metropolis, something he tries to capture in his pieces. Eugenio aims to, through his unique brush style, capture the movement and never ending activity of the city. His best paintings truly do capture the synchronicity of millions of different parts moving together harmoniously in one of the worlds biggest city’s. His pieces are currently being shown in some of the finest galleries throughout North America.
