Emilio Pica

Romanian born, Emilio started his career in art at a very early age. Presently, Emilio resides in Toronto, Canada. For the last ten years he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Canada and United States showing his mixed media/acrylic paintings on canvas or silk. His work is collected internationally in USA, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and Canada.

Painter of vivid landscapes, light-filled interiors, picturesque bouquets, still life with fruits and personal objects, garden paths and poppy fields, Emilio is undoubtedly a contemporary artist who continuously describes a dialogue between abstraction and impressionism. The subjects of his paintings are meticulously constructed into elaborate compositions. They are usually developed in the foreground of the image and linked through subtle elements, which may be objects, undefined, coloured shapes or patterns, with the desired background.
